You're Stronger Than You Think
A private journal for teens going through cancer treatment. Ages 13-19. 32 pages.
Part of Through Treatment, Together.

Cancer takes over a teen's calendar, their body, their school year and a lot of their privacy. Almost everything gets decided for them. This book is one thing that's completely theirs. It's written straight to them, not about them: honest, a little funny, never preachy, with room to write what they'd never say out loud. Who gets to know. Post or don't. Hair, wigs and hats. Friends who stayed and friends who faded. Parents who hover. Scanxiety. The prom they're missing. And the parts of them cancer doesn't get to touch.

A short, honest intro on every page. Each one says why the page matters, credits the research or guidance behind it and ends with one calming breath. Two pages at the front are for parents: how to hand it over, how to respect their privacy and what teens need right now, based on The Dougy Center's guidance.

A GENTLE GIFT
Not sure what to give a teenager with cancer? Send the download to their parent, or print it and tuck it into a care package with headphones, fuzzy socks and their favorite snack.

HOW IT WORKS
• This is a digital download. Nothing will be shipped to you.
• After checkout, your files appear under You > Purchases and Reviews on Etsy and in your Etsy confirmation email.
• Print at home or at a local print shop, or type right into the fillable file on a computer, tablet or phone.
• The fillable file works best in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader (on a computer, tablet or phone). Other PDF apps may not save typing and some rating circles may let you pick more than one answer. To write by hand on a tablet, open any version in an app like GoodNotes or Notability.
• Print extra copies of the good days log, scanxiety and question pages as often as you need, for your own family's personal use.

A NOTE FROM ME
Hi, I'm Niki, a mom and a certified grief educator. My daughter Harper was 15 when she was diagnosed with cancer and I sat beside her through about three and a half years of treatment: the scans, the wigs, the missed games and a prom wig spin that went viral. Her favorite quote was "You're stronger than you think." I wrote this book the way I'd want someone to talk to a teen going through what she went through: honestly, without talking down and with a lot of respect for their privacy.

Real tears. Real love.
